Well, even though
the official vote count is not in as of yet, here is how it
looks; I took Transylvania County by a landslide, which I am very
proud of, but still fell short 710 votes out of 39,000. Therefore, this
was a very close race.As soon as the
Boards of Election confirm what I suspect, I will address my opponent
formally. What I, and I hope you, are focusing on is the
magnificent success we have all had as Democrats.
What a great Democratic win
for our state, nation, and the Democratic team! I am so very
excited for all of my extended family in TransylvaniaCounty.
I know with Obama/Biden, Bev Purdue, Walter Dalton, Kay Hagen, and Heath Shuler and
so many other Democrats elected, we have a team that can only move us to a
greater tomorrow.
My small part in the
election will always have a special place in my heart, along will my new found
friends. Please know that the support and hard work that each
and everyone of you put forth is, and will always be, GREATLY
appreciated.
